• 19026125(IL-8): IL-6 receptor, IL-8 receptor and TNF-alpha238 (G/A) polymorphisms are not associated with Behcet's disease in patients of German or Turkish origin.

  The polymorphisms were analyzed by PCR with the LightCycler system.

  It has recently been shown that polymorphisms in the IL-1ra and IL-1beta genes may account for variation in the two proteins.

  Phosphorylation of p38 kinase , which is necessary for activation , increased significantly after IL-1beta treatment.

  In this report we demonstrate that IL-12 activates mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 3/6 (MKK) and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) , but not p44/42 (ERK) or stress-activated protein kinase/c-Jun N-terminal kinase MAPK.
