2007 - 2008 : Research assistant in (Artificial Tutor For Handwriting Teaching) project which is a research cooperation between faculty of computers and information, Cairo university and Cairo Microsoft Innovation Center(CMIC)
Responsible, in corporation with another research assistant, for preparing the presentation material of every stage of the project and presenting it to the committee.
Supervising my team, ensuring the tasks are delivered on time and providing them with any help in understanding the tasks or how to implement them.
2008 - 2011 : Software Researcher at Cit Mobidiv Company. My major role is to analyze the current software (iScript) and suggesting techniques to enhance its performance taking into consideration the available resources. iScript is an Arabic Handwriting recognition software for mobiles . Its aim to provide
mobile users with an extra and easy input method
2004 - 2006 : Junior Software Developer in Imaginet Software Company. My major role was to develop different modules in an Arabic OCR system for both machine printed and handwriting. This includes:
Segmentation module for segmenting the word parts into smaller units to achieve better classification and recognition
Implementing different Feature Extraction methods and comparing the results
Helping in the Training module and implementing the Testing module (a benchmark) to analyze the results.
All the modules were achieved with different and new techniques including a lot of innovative methods to enhance the accuracy
